several of my massively talented friends are in various stages of a wonderful and increasingly common photography project called 365 days. i have been watching many of them since the beginning of their projects, and am beyond impressed - although of course not surprised - at some of the gems this project has produced.

for any not familiar, the idea is that you take a photograph of yourself every day for an entire year. theres a lot of freedom in the idea, and i think as an exercise its fantastic; it forces you to accept some discipline without applying creative constraints, as well as encouraging you to examine yourself and the world around you in new and different ways every day. theoretically, anyhow.

i am thrilled that my friends are doing this, since i am stupid busy but love to keep up with their lives - if not directly, then by keeping tabs on them via teh internets. thats litestalking borne of love, my dears, but im sure you know that. ;)

if i can manage to pick out a new camera (i need a compact or ultra-compact that manages to not make everyone look bloated - please send me recs!), then i may join the ranks of this project. for entertainment, of course, not because i could ever hope to parallel some of the work i have seen thus far, which again - is consistently great, and occasionally staggering.
